I'm all over the place... Today I read Godel, Escher, Bach for twenty minutes. I began reading the preface and I wondered whether I should indeed read the whole thing. There's something in me that feels a book should be read in order of the pages as they are presented. But there are no rules. There are only different ways to do things. I thought it interesting, what was said in the preface. Hofstadter, a physicist, struggles to pin down what the book, GEB, is about. Somehow it's about connectedness and consciousness. I thought it strange how I have been thinking about connectedness these days. Am I pondering connectedness because the ideas have been seeded in me by this very book back when I read it in high school? I feel like I don't even remember reading. Sorry, SIR mentor Mike Ososky.
